Job Overview

As a member of the OPTIMUS nursing staff, you will both deliver and support the care we provide. Your clinical duties will depend on your qualifications and the facility where you work, but you can expect to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, with the goal of achieving optimal health for the communities we serve.

Core Responsibilities

RNs & LPNs: Different duties*

  • RNs provide direct care to patients
  • LPNs most often provide assistance to physicians or RNs
RNs & LPNs: Common duties
  • Coordinate and deliver primary care services to a diverse population of patients
  • Work with the practice manager, director of nursing, nurse manager and medical providers to ensure our standards of care
  • Provide clinical and administrative support
  • Support and mentor new staff and students
  • Assist the director of nursing and nurse manager to ensure that nursing staff follow the Nursing Practice Act
  • Deliver comprehensive patient care with strict confidentiality

* Individual responsibilities will vary by position and facility

Qualifications: Education

RN:

  • Graduated from an accredited registered nursing program approved by the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health with an associate’s degree; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Active Connecticut licensure

LPNs:

  • Graduated from an accredited school of licensed practical nursing
  • Active Connecticut Licensure
Qualifications: Professional
  • Positive attitude and a sense of purpose regarding caregiving
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • High standards of ethical and social responsibility
Qualifications: Preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) helpful
