This year marks an extraordinary milestone for Optimus Health Care: 50 years of service, growth, and commitment to community health.

Our journey began on December 21, 1976, when we opened our doors as Bridgeport Community Health Center with a simple but powerful mission: to provide accessible, high-quality healthcare to those who needed it most. As our reach and impact expanded, so did our name, evolving into Optimus Health Care to better reflect our growing footprint across Southwestern Connecticut.

What started as a single site has grown into the largest provider of primary healthcare in the region. Today, Optimus proudly operates 24 locations and serves more than 42,000 residents in Bridgeport, Stratford, Stamford, and Waterbury. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our incredible team, whose compassion and commitment drive our work every day.

For five decades, one thing has never changed: our mission to be a lifelong healthcare partner dedicated to achieving optimal wellness for the communities we serve. From preventive care to chronic disease management, behavioral health services, and beyond, Optimus has remained focused on delivering culturally sensitive, patient-centered care that meets people where they are.
