A grand opening and ribbon cutting event for the OPTIMUS Health Care Waterbury WIC at 51 Lakeside Blvd E, Waterbury, CT occurred on Tuesday, April 16th at 12:30 p.m.

The WIC Program assists families with low income, new mothers (breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding), and infants and children up to age 5 at nutritional risk through providing essential nutrition counseling and breastfeeding promotion and support.

WIC resources include supplemental food, health care referrals, nutrition education, and help with breastfeeding.

The OPTIMUS Health Care WIC Program now has three locations: Bridgeport, Stamford and Waterbury.
